Ron Hutzal is a seasoned
professional with over 35 years in drilling, completions and operational
experience. Ron utilizes a strong analytical and systematic approach together
with practical operations experience to solve problems and make decisions
consistent with corporate objectives. He has been a principal in Noyes Engineering for over 20 years. His
rich experience has been invaluable in assisting clients
to achieve success in their endeavors.
Some Accomplishments: - Managed,
engineered or supervised some 1500 vertical and directional wells and 35 to 40
horizontal wells throughout Western Canada,
- Selected to be a
committee member of CAPP’s Drilling and Completion Committee for wellsite
supervisor competency which led to the development of IRP#7.
- Selected to be a
member of PSAC’s committee on competency for wellsite supervisors. Assessment
strategy and development of competency assessment.
- Introduced
advanced cementing technology for Numac Energy Inc./Westcoast Petroleum Ltd.
for improved cement integrity particularly in Southern Alberta. Technology included centralizer spacing,
preflushes, displacement velocities, and technology relative to cement
squeezes.
- Introduced
procedures such as balanced cement plugs & diesel gel plugs to overcome
severe loss circulation and partial loss circulation, particularly in B.C.
- Introduced
practical drilling fluids technology to overcome hole stability problems that
has resulted in pacesetter wells.
- Engineered and
drilled pacesetter wells in Central, Northwestern Alberta and BC.
- Engineered or managed numerous completion, work over and abandonment projects
